Real Phishing Examples: Be Vigilant

March 17, 2023

We’ve been made aware of a phishing scam that is making the rounds. SECU Members are Googling “SECU” and coming across sites that do not belong to us and entering their log-in information, giving scammers access to their account.

There are some examples below. But we encourage you to always be vigilant.

  1. Look at the website address. In the examples below, none of the website addresses are associated with SECU, and the names make it obvious.
  2. Look for spelling or grammatical errors.
  3. You can always just type secumd.org directly into your browser’s address bar to ensure you are reaching the correct website.

If you believe you have accidentally given your log-in information to a fake SECU website, please close your browser immediately and call us at 410-487-7328 to report the site. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to email us at secucommunications@secumd.com, and we can help you further

BE AWARE THAT NONE OF THE BELOW ARE LEGITIMATE!
