We’ve been made aware of a phishing scam that is making the rounds. SECU Members are Googling “SECU” and coming across sites that do not belong to us and entering their log-in information, giving scammers access to their account.
There are some examples below. But we encourage you to always be vigilant.
- Look at the website address. In the examples below, none of the website addresses are associated with SECU, and the names make it obvious.
- Look for spelling or grammatical errors.
- You can always just type secumd.org directly into your browser’s address bar to ensure you are reaching the correct website.
If you believe you have accidentally given your log-in information to a fake SECU website, please close your browser immediately and call us at 410-487-7328 to report the site. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to email us at secucommunications@secumd.com, and we can help you further
BE AWARE THAT NONE OF THE BELOW ARE LEGITIMATE!
