Homecoming is always a festive time as alumni, family, and friends return to College Park to reconnect and reminisce. This year is even more special as the University of Maryland marks its 100th homecoming celebration!
As the official banking partner of the University of Maryland Terrapins, SECU looks forward to welcoming UMD alumni and friends back to College Park for a fun-filled homecoming week. Check out some of the special homecoming events where we will be – stop by to say hi!
Tuesday Night Lights
Oct. 10 from 7-8:30 p.m. at SECU Stadium
If you’ve always wanted to run on the same field where our Big 10 Maryland Terrapins play each week, this is your chance! Bring your family and friends out to SECU Stadium on Tuesday, Oct. 10 from 7-8:30 p.m. for Tuesday Night Lights.
Enjoy music and games and get your picture taken with Testudo. In honor of the 100th homecoming anniversary, 100 attendees will be selected at random to receive a UMD homecoming hoodie.
One lucky attendee will have the opportunity to win $10,000 in the SECU Kick for Cash Field Goal Challenge! Here’s how:
- Attend Tuesday Night Lights and register from 7-7:45 p.m.
- One attendee will be chosen to kick a 35-yard field goal through the uprights.
- If you make it – you win $10,000!
Celebrations at SECU
Oct. 11-13, SECU Financial Center, Greenbelt Road
SECU invites the University of Maryland community to celebrate Homecoming week at our Greenbelt Road financial center located at 6011 Greenbelt Road from Oct. 11-13.
- Free Gift Bag to First 50 UMD Guests. The first 50 UMD guests to stop by each day from Oct. 11-13 will get a UMD gift bag. Alumni, faculty, staff, and current students are eligible. Doors open at 9 a.m., so get there early to claim your gift!
- Special Gift for New Members Join SECU from Oct. 11-13 and receive $250† when you open a new account. Receive $50 if you refer a friend and they open an account.
- Free Pizza, Prizes, and Testudo! Stop by for free pizza and giveaways on Friday, Oct. 13. You can get your picture taken with Testudo, who will be there from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. You can also spin the prize wheel for your chance to win a special surprise!
Homecoming Football Game vs. Illinois
Oct. 14, SECU Stadium
Come out to cheer on your Maryland Terrapins as they take on the Fighting Illini at SECU Stadium on Oct. 14. Look for SECU at the Alumni Homecoming Tailgate & Beer Garden located in Moxley Gardens, Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center. Connect with fellow alums before heading into the game.
