This giveaway is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited. No purchase is necessary. Participation constitutes entrants’ full and unconditional agreement to the terms and conditions of these official rules. Questions concerning any aspect of this giveaway will be resolved by SECU management and any such resolution shall be final.

Eligibility:
This giveaway is open to all members of SECU in good standing, who are at least eighteen (18) years of age or older and who are a legal resident of the United States.

Timing:
The giveaway begins on August 27, 2024 (8/27/2024). This giveaway ends on December 1, 2024 (12/1/2024) or when 75 Prize Pack recipients have been identified, whichever is sooner. SECU may end or change the giveaway at any time, at its own discretion and without prior notification.

Criteria:
To be considered for a Prize Pack, SECU members must apply for, be approved and accept the loan offer. Applications must be received online or via the Loan Call Center. Applications received in person at a SECU branch, via the Virtual Financial Center or via any other channel are not eligible.

No purchase or credit line advance is necessary. SECU Membership is required. One (1) application per member. SECU reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any Prize Pack consideration at any time, which in SECU’s opinion does not comply with these Official Rules.

SECU employees, board members, volunteers, affiliates and their immediate family members are not eligible for this giveaway.

Prizes:
The first 75 eligible members to meet the criteria will receive a SECU UMD Terps Prize Pack.

The winners will receive one (1) Prize Pack with an approximate value of $300.00. The Prize Pack will contain various SECU/UMD branded merchandise and two (2) regular season tickets to UMD Football Games (home games only), from the date of prize fulfillment. Odds of receiving a prize pack depend on the number of eligible applications received during the giveaway period.

All Prize Packs will be delivered to the primary member’s physical address.

UMD Tickets will be delivered electronically via email or text message using the primary account holders information on file. Tickets subject to UMD ticket rules. Prize Pack recipient must manage the tickets in accordance with UMD ticket management guidelines.

Prize Packs cannot be exchanged for cash value. No substitutions allowed.

Verification of Winners:
The potential giveaway recipient must continue to comply with all terms and conditions of these Official Rules, and receiving a Prize Pack is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements. The recipient will be notified by email if they are eligible for a prize pack. If a potential winner of any prize cannot be contacted, is disqualified for any reason, SECU will award the applicable prize to an alternate winner. In order to receive the prize, the winner is not required to purchase any goods or services, pay any money or make a credit line advance.

General Consent:
By entering this giveaway, entrants agree to be contacted by SECU by email or phone (to include text message). This consent applies to email notices regarding the contest entry as well as future SECU MD email communications. To opt out, simply follow the instructions in the email or text you receive. Note: Opting out of email or text messaging before the promotion ends will void your giveaway, as winners will be contacted by email or text message.

Consent to Publicity and Release:
Participation in the promotion constitutes winner’s consent to SECU’s use of winner’s name, photograph, voice and/or opinion for promotional purposes in any media, worldwide, without further payment or consideration, unless prohibited by law. The winner also agrees to release and hold harmless SECU from any and all claims of any kind related to the publication of name to those who request the Winner List.

Taxes:
The prize winner is responsible for the payment of all applicable federal, state and local taxes imposed on the prizes.

Liability:
All entrants release SECU and its officers, directors, employees, affiliates and all others associated with the development and execution of this giveaway from any and all liability with respect to, or in any way arising from, this giveaway.

Balance transfer offer expires 90 days after account opening. Promotion of 0% APR is only available for balances transferred from non-SECU accounts. Total value of transfers cannot exceed your credit limit. SECU sends either full or partial payment to your creditors in the order you list them. Allow at least two weeks from submitting the balance transfer request for processing. Continue paying each credit or until the transfer appears as a credit. SECU may change the rate at any time, but in no event will the rate exceed 3% without prior notice to you.

***Bonus Points Offer Information: You will qualify for 25,000 bonus points if you use your new UMD Visa® Affinity card to make any combination of purchase transactions totaling at least $2,000 (exclusive of any transaction fees, returns and adjustments) that post to your account within 90 days of the account open date. Limit one (1) bonus points offer per new account. This one-time offer is limited to new members opening an account. How We Will Calculate Your Balance: We use a method called “average daily balance (including new purchases)”.

Billing Rights: Information on your rights to dispute transactions and how to exercise those rights is provided in your account agreement.

Balance Transfers: Total value of transfers cannot exceed your credit limit. SECU sends either full or partial payment to your creditors in the order you list them. Allow at least two weeks from submitting the balance transfer request for processing. Continue paying each creditor until the transfer appears as a credit. Promotional and Introductory balance transfer rates are only available for balances transferred from non-SECU accounts. SECU reserves the right to change the rate at any time, but in no event will the rate exceed 3% without prior notice to you.

Variable APRs Based on Prime: If any APR is based on the U.S. Prime Rate (“Prime Rate”), the APR will be equal the Prime Rate plus an additional amount. If the Prime Rate increases, it will cause the APR to increase. If the Prime Rate decreases, it will cause the APR to decrease. For each Billing Period we use the Prime Rate published in the Wall Street Journal on or around the 10th of each month.  If a rate is not published on the 10th day of the month we will identify the Prime Rate published on the last publishing date preceding the 10th day of the month.  If the Prime Rate causes an APR to change, we will put the new APR into effect on the first day of the following month. We apply the new APR to any existing balances, subject to any promotional rate that may apply. If the Wall Street Journal does not publish the Prime Rate, we will use a similar published rate. The maximum APR will not exceed 24%.
